MS
Excel is an electronic spreadsheet program which can be
used for storing, manipulating and organizing data. But there are many possible
errors in MS Excel. Sometimes, Excel spreadsheet becomes inaccessible or it
cannot be opened, users are unable to open or save any data on your excel and
it happens due to corruption. Excel files gets corrupted or damaged because of
number of unseen reasons like virus attack, bad sector on the storage media,
round tripping and sudden close of MS Excel file application due to power
shortage and improper system shutdown etc.
Some
of the common reasons behind the corruption of MS Excel file are as follows:
- External Reason like Virus infection: As we all know that then consequences of virus attack on machine damages the whole data, so if your machine is infected with virus then there is great chance of losing the Excel data.
- Improper closure of Machine: As the general size of the Excel file are very large, so the entire file get damage if any kind of mishandling is done in its operation. Mostly, it happens that we use to shut down the machine without closing the other applications that are already running in machine including Excel.
- Large size of MS Excel File: The MS Excel is not a database so it is not able to manage large amount of data or information. When the size of the excel file becomes larger then there the chances of losing the Excel file becomes very high.
- Bad Sector in Hard Drive of Machine: Due to the improper shutdown of the system and used after a long time then hard disk develops bad sector in it. The data lies in the bad sector become inaccessible.
